The serpent is a symbol that has been synonymous with the Boucheron jewellery house since its very beginning when, in 1888, Boucheron’s founder Frederic Boucheron gifted his wife a necklace in the shape of a serpent to mark their wedding anniversary, believing that the animal possessed talismanic protective properties.
Boucheron’s first Serpent line was later born in 1968 and was never to leave the collections of the Maison, becoming an iconic design of 1970s Paris – and the Serpent Boheme collection is a natural continuation of this story.
The new Serpent Boheme Colour range highlights the vivid and graphic colour versions of Boucheron’s emblematic pieces. Each design is both bold and relaxed, reverting back to the quintessential ‘70s feel when the collection was originally launched.

Crafted in 18ct yellow, white and rose gold, the pieces are set with facetted coloured stones that give a new light to the collection. Precious stones including amethyst, citrine, mother of pearl, lapis lazuli and onyx replace the original set diamonds, bringing a modern and colourful style to this historic line.

As ever, Boucheron considers detailing to be of the utmost importance in its pieces; here the emphasis used on the intricate gold detailing replicates the serpent’s skin to stunning effect.

Each piece has been expertly crafted in the House’s atelier, which overlooks Place Vendome, and perfectly demonstrates the unparalleled craftsmanship and unquestionable quality that is synonymous with the Maison Boucheron.
