While talent shines bright on the screen, megawatt star power dominates the red carpet. Who wore what on La Croisette…?
Monica Bellucci, the festival’s glamorous mistress of ceremonies, chose the Maison Cartier High Jewellery collection to thrill audiences at the opening ceremony of the film festival. Who could take their eyes off of her diamond and sapphire necklace, Galanterie de Cartier earrings and 13 carat sapphire and diamond ring? They may still be talking about her kiss with Alex Lutz, but we think those jewels were the hottest thing onstage.
Cinematic darling Jessica Chastain simply sparkled in Piaget. The epitome of Hollywood glamour, the actress is Piaget’s international brand ambassador and was a Member of Jury this year. She dazzled in a pair of white gold earrings set with diamonds from the brand’s new High Jewellery Collection Sunlight Journey.
But of course she wasn’t the only one pretty in Piaget on the Croisette…
Even in Cannes, we were keeping up with the Kardashian/Jenners.
Kendall Jenner, model/ reality star/fashion designer, was spotted in a stunning pair of earrings in white gold set with 30 carats of diamonds, and a ring in white gold featuring brilliant-cut diamonds, from Chopard’s 2017 Red Carpet Collection.
Fellow American model Arizona Muse, on the other hand, opted for a Chopard necklace in white gold and titanium featuring blue sapphires and diamonds from the same collection.
Brazilian Model Isabelli Fontana drew envy wearing a pair of Chopard earrings in white gold with two brilliant cut diamonds and a titanium cuff set with diamonds and rubies, both from the High Jewellery Collection. That ring though – rose gold and titanium featuring a heart shaped rubellite, pink sapphires and diamonds – breathtaking!
Not to be outdone, French actress Juliette Binoche was sublimely elegant in rose gold hoop earrings featuring coloured diamonds, plus a diamond ring in white gold, both from Chopard.
And Brazilian actress Izabel Goulart adorned her look with a pair of Chopard earrings in white gold set with diamonds and a bracelet in white gold set with 103.89 carats diamonds.
But who says girls have to have all the fun? On the arm of Izabel’s arm candy, German footballer Kevin Trapp, we spotted a Chopard L.U.C Lunar One Black Tie in platinum set with diamonds.
While Irish heartthrob and star of “The Killing of a Sacred Deer”, Colin Farrell, showed off a dashing Chopard L.U.C XPS in rose Fairmined gold.
Now who else stole the spotlight?
Sara Sampaio was a “model” citizen at the premiere of “120 Battements Par Minute”.
The smoldering beauty chose a striking pair of earrings from the Avakian “Gatsby Collection” set with white enamel, pink morganite and diamonds, and matched them with a “Victory Collection” bangle in white mother of pearl and diamonds.
Cannes wasn’t all film though. Even off the red carpet, fashion had its moment during Naomi Campbell’s Fashion for Relief event. Here French model Tina Kunakey made jaws drop in a Messika cuff with a matching double ring from the Glam’ Azone jewellery collection.
While British top model Jourdan Dunn shone bright in Messika’s My Twin multishapes earrings and a Move Romane double ring to compliment her Balmain look.
Sara Sampaio made a second noteworthy appearance, this time in Messika – rocking Roaring Diamonds earrings and a set of My Twin and Glam’Azone rings.
