Chanel’s annual Summer Party, a highlight of London’s social calendar, took place on 28 June in the grounds of London’s Serpentine Gallery. The VIP event celebrated the opening of the 2017 Pavilion, designed by Francis Kéré, the Serpentine’s 17th annual architectural commission.

The collaboration between the Serpentine Galleries and Chanel has aligned a pioneering art institution and an iconic fashion house, creating a unique event that celebrates the best in art and architecture in the heart of the city of London.

Leading figures from the worlds of international art, architecture, design, fashion, music, film and business came together to celebrate and raise funds for the Serpentine’s internationally acclaimed exhibitions, architecture, education and live programmes.

Guests included Alice Dellal, Anish Kapoor, David Adjaye, David Furnish, Edie Campbell, Eva Herzigova, George Osborne, Grayson Perry, Guy Ritchie, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Helen McCrory, Charli XCX, Jamie xx, Marcus Piggott, Mert Alas, Princess Eugenie of York, Ron Arad, Stacy Martin, Yinka Shonibare, Shirley Bassey, Brooklyn Beckham and Mario Testino.
