Luxury jewellery and watch Maison Chopard has announced a collaboration with global superstar Rihanna. As a style icon known for her bold and modern choices, the Rihanna ♥ Chopard Haute Joaillerie collection captures Rihanna’s unique vision and spirit. Rihanna and Caroline Scheufele, Chopard co-president and creative director, worked closely together to combine their creativity and passion to develop a dazzling Haute Joaillerie range.
The love story between Rihanna and Chopard has been developing on red carpets all over the world throughout the last few years. Now, this bedazzling duo has partnered to push High Jewellery beyond conventional limits to create a modern collection inspired by Rihanna’s island roots – the lush gardens of Barbados and the electricity of carnival.
“I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewellery, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe,” says Rihanna. “It was a really incredible process and I learned so much! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
The vibrant collection will debut in May 2017 to help commemorate the 70th anniversary of the most spectacular red carpet in the world, the Festival de Cannes, and celebrate Chopard’s 20th year as the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival.
However, Rihanna has already been giving fans a sneak peek of the capsule collection. At the Grammy Awards, she dazzled in a one-of-a-kind pair of floral inspired multi-coloured chandelier earrings and marquise-cut diamond solitaire ring and on the March 2017 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna sparkled in a pair of transformable diamond earrings. More recently, Rihanna wore flower drop earrings to complement her incredible look at the MET Gala in New York.
“Rihanna and I collaborated closely on this collection so you can feel her unstoppable energy, strong creativity, and inherent sense of design in every piece,” says Caroline Scheufele. “With her unique style, she redefines the way people see and wear jewellery.”
